12 Remember to adjust the contours at the bottom of the wall in front. The existing (124) and (125) contours need to be adjusted downhill at 5:1.

13 Label any slopes along the top of the wall. The completed wall illustration is highlighted in Figure 4.5–7.

The previous example showed a relatively short wall in the landscape. The following example outlined in Figure 4.5–8 is a longer curved wall with a swale behind it. A second type of retaining wall problem may require you to maintain a consistent height along sloping topography.
